I have come across this fantasy with several women. I think its pretty common. I have even done a role play, along with a friend who is a real doctor (and a member of baycouples as well), where he comes, dressed in his lab coat, with his little black bag of instruments, and does a complete examination. I get into my doctors coat as well and act as the assistant. The premise is that the woman is asking for a house call/exam to see if she has a normal sexual response. Of course the exam starts out with the usual history, examining the eyes, ears, throat, etc., but then proceeds to a breast exam, gynocological exam, with the doctors slowly disrobing at each step, and finally some deep probing to see if she has a normal sexual response, using specialized instruments for this purpose. Its a very hot scene, and my friend and I have played this out with several women with great success. I recommend it!

I'm not a licensed doctor but I'd be willing to give a free gyno exam and see where it leads. Then I would feel better qualified to answer the question... but to hell with qualifications, if I can help, I'm here for the benefit of all.
Imagine anything so radical as Sweet Katy's suggestion, why, that amounts to open communication. We'll have none of that!
